ORMILIA  
Its inhabitants are descendants of those of ancient Sermyli, a name which remained in use until the 19th century. Another variation of the name was Sermylia, from which today+AJI-s name originates. "Ormylia" can be found in all official documents from the beginning of the 20th century. Along with the settlements of Vatopedi, Psakoudia, Nea Sermyli, Nissi and the Convent of "Virgin Mary's Annunciation", Ormylia has a population  of 3427, one of the highest in Chalkidiki. It is situated on the mainland between the peninsulas of Kassandra and Sithonia. It is 96 km from Thessaloniki, 26 km from Poligiros and 28 km from N.Moudania. It is an important trading centre built on a plain with lash vegetation and a lot of water where various trees and vegetables grow. The plain is flown by the river Chavrias with an enviroment friendly towards various species of wildlife at its mouth. The settlements of Psakoudia to the South and the Beach of Vatopedi to the South East offer long stretches of sand and clear blue seas. To the east, one can find the convent of "Virgin Mary's Annunciation" with workshops of  icon painting, embroidery, and weaving. Another achievement of the convent is the centre of spiritual and social support, "Virgin Mary the Philanthropist". Another monastery of the area is that of "Virgin Mary's Halo". It is worth mentioning some of the notable buildings of the village like the church of Sint George(1818). The country church of the Apostles(1856) the old primary school, the Mill and a lot of houses. More recently the village has obtained a library, a radio station and the National Stadium of Ormylia with a football and a basketball ground and a gymnasium.

June 28-29: A traditional feast dedicated to the Apostles with cultural, folk and sports manifestations. Religious celebrations of the Holy Trinity, St Demetrius and St.Panteleimonas. Various cultural manifestations during the year.

METAMORFOSI 
The village, which was built in 1925 by refgees from Smirni, Proussa and Konstantinoples, is at the beginning of the abundant with pine trees peninsula of Sithonia. Today, it has 400 inhabitants. It is 30 km from Poligiros and 90 km from Thessaloniki. Metamorphossi was named after the Holy Church of Metamorphossis (the transfiguration) of Jesus and Saint Basil. The patron Saint of the village is Saint Basil. The beautiful scenery  and the dry climate make Metamorphossi an ideal resort. In summer, numerous hotels, rooms to let, greek folk art souvenir shops and restaurants with exquisite dishes offer their services to numerous tourists. Additionally, the visitors can entertain themselves in some of the many and various bars, discos, cafes e.t.c.
Finally we must mention that nature has given the area wonderful beaches, starting from the point where the pine-tree forests stop, ideal for swimming during summer months.
